If choosing a puppy from a breeder, be sure to meet its parents, or at least the mom. See where the puppies and mother are kept so you can see how they are taken care of. Socialization of your puppy to all the sights, sounds, sensations and smells of the world will start before your pup is old enough to leave its mother. Choosing a breeder who handles their pups often and allows them to experience home life is a helpful start. Here are some websites to help you choose a reputable breeder.
